I am learning Japanese and I am still on the kana I have already fallen in love with 石! I use rocks for weight-lifting, you see... As part of my learning, I watch documentary on Japanese culture / history. Was watching one on Matsumoto Castle and learnt about 鏡石. Some kanji are just poetic - jellyfish is "ocean moon" (although its rarely seen as a kanji)). And yesterday I accidented on bear and then saw that its similar to Noh. Amazing!

Flower is exactly same as Chinese but different pronunciation

I know about 130 Kanji so this was easy since i know about 3-7 readings per kanji.
