It's fascinating to learn Japanese after 3 years of Chinese. There is a good amount of overlap- the characters for color, ear, mouth, and person are the same.

I want kanji cards. I really like using materials that are kinda like for kids because learning a new language is hard and the simpler words the better. Which is why recently i've been looking for japanese children's books and stuff and i try to write down the translation. Its kinda sad how i struggle reading kanji that apparently even 5 year olds can read. and im already 19 for god's sake. It's also really helpful how there's always fun pictures as that helps me remember the words.
