A dart is fired into a stationary block which is hanging motionless from a string. Calculate the final velocity of the dart and block after the dart/block collision as well as the Kinetic Energy lost in the collision, the maximum height to which the dart and block will swing, and the maximum angle the string holding the block will reach as the dart and block swing upward.

This problem is centered around the conservation of momentum in linear collisions as well as the conservation of mechanical energy as the ballistic pendulum swings upward.
