Just wash your hats in the sink. There is also no cold setting on dishwashers as they are hooked up to your hot water. This method has destroyed a couple hats in the past messing up the brim. If you hats actually get dirty spray them down with white vinegar to loosen the salt and soak them in water with soap in it. Rinse off when done and dry over a bowl between two microfibers. Whole method maybe takes 5 min of actual labor. Most of it is waiting
