Ironic that the picture of the Big Three, taken in Yalta, Crimea, in 1945, has a direct connection to events taking place in Crimea and elsewhere in Ukraine, this very minute.

Germany has now said it “will not stop other countries supplying Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine”. This must mean they will sign off on these other countries supplying them. A good development even if Germany is still not supplying them directly! Poland will be first it seems.

Germany will probably send another 5000 helmet to help ukraine in this offensive effort

Someone help me out. So Germany are really very pacifist. So why have they produced more than 2000 battle tanks? So it's OK to manufacture battle tanks as long as they are not used in war, is that right? Or maybe use in war is fine, just not against Russia?

Counteroffensives are defensive operations. Tanks are defensive weapons in a defensive war.

Germany's refusal to provide tanks for Ukraine shows a troubling lack of support for a democratic nation in need.

Is Leopard 2 tanks the only tanks in the world???

Good news is that Poland is already training Ukrainian soldiers how to use Polish Leopard2 tanks. In meantime Poland sends 150 T-72 tanks modernized by Poland as donation for Ukraine to help Ukraine in war effort.

Many nations bordering Russia have acted with courage, sending materiel they can ill-afford to part with. This is a chance for Germany to redefine it's legacy from this day forward. As it stands, if the Leopard were a Polish tank design, 300+ would now be in the hands of those who are fighting for the survival of Ukraine, for the prosperity and viability of the European Union... and for Western Civilization as a whole.

Thatcher was right when she said some of them are weak in Europe, nearly every country has a dark history, get over it and move on.

Germany should realise, that if the Ukraines cannot hold back the Russian Army now, next it will be Poland and then Germany, and dont think Poo tin will stop there !

We're getting near a 100 years since WW2. Time to move on. Russia haven't been an ally since then. And it's about time Germany rebuilt it's military and became THE great force in central Europe once again.

As a former U.S Army Staff Officer I am furious. We had tens of thousands of our troops and incredible armor presence in Germany for decades, guarding the Fulda Gap so the Russians, who had 50, 000 tanks ready to plow through Germany's bunghole were at the very least slowed down until more forces could arrive. This will go down as one of the biggest chicken-sh-t actions in modern history. War is here, Real war. Time to take off the gloves because more delay will embolden Putin to go far beyond Ukraine.

thats fine let other countries send them, and just supply spare parts, the best defence is a good offence

The more I read about Chamberlain, the better I understand Churchill.
Is there anyone like Churchill in Germany?

The moral of this conflict is "Putin got bored and he is scratching his neighbor's back". Poor Ukraine is getting directly impacted."

I do not buy this BS - how does that apply to allowing those with licences and who own the tanks to give them to Ukraine? Sounds like Scholzing to me.
