Thank you for the information ma'am. I just started homeschooling my 4 year last week. She's an only child. I'm here because yes at some point I thought maybe I should take her back to public school (crèche) again as I was seeing most YouTube videos of families homeschooling more than 1 child. I'm encouraged... Love from South Africa 🇿🇦

“Family” style is whatever your family looks like! Such a great point, friend!

I am homeschooling our son who is 14 going into 9th. I so thankful I found your channel tonight! I've watched 2 of your videos so far and both have been very helpful.

I just finished my first year of teaching my only child kindergarten. What you said in this video couldn't be more true to us as well! Thanks for sharing! I agree. It's great for us to find those rare homeschool mommas of one and stick together!! 💜💖

Love that we can hone in on exactly what our child needs, learning style, etc. Campfire Curriculums has worked amazingly with us as well! Thank you for joining this collab. Great video. I know that these videos will be helpful to mommas.

Yes to the less distraction, and learning styles. I'm so glad you spoke on not shying away from unit studies that is something I want to add more of in our homeschool this year.

Not having others as distractions is certainly helpful - even though mine is still young and serves as her own distraction at times 🤣

My tribe! 😍I cherish how we are such a "tight trio" after so many years of homeschooling. We genuinely enjoy one another's company. Yet, I also agree with the importance of building in breaks and encouraging independent play. Balance is key.

Thank you for this video. My husband and I have not been able to have children together we have my soon to be 5th grader and I want to homeschool. I wasn’t sure if I should or not but I’m encouraged at the possibility. My daughter is a social butterfly so I am nervous about it but I feel the need to homeschool in this day and age.

Thank you for sharing. I'm homeschooling just my son (age 15), and I love learning alongside him. We used to get together with others quite a bit, but even that can become too much to keep up with, so I'm trying to find a healthy balance. BTW, I can relate to you regarding being an introvert. I'm currently reading a book called Introverted Mom by Jamie C. Martin...so far it's really good 😊.

HI. i have a 13 year old boy with adhd (ADD). I home-ed him on his own mainly. Even with just us, he dreams a lot. It is SO frustrating. It alll takes so long....I see schedules for younger kids and we can't get it all done. He can spend 25 mins on one day of fix-it....easily. we get through SO little that I always feel behind and panicked. I have to pull him back from somewhere in his head so often. Sometimes it's only once I raise my voice that he 'wakes up'. When he IS 'with' me we love learning together and he is actually very bright. He is creative and can solve difficult problems....but is mostly away with the fairies and often doesn't know what's going on. I can't let him watch any video lessons for eg as he won't 'remember' what was said in the session. Do you have advice, please? Even read-alouds can be frustrating. Help, please?
