We are a better together family of 6 living in an 800sqft Shed to House Conversion and currently converting a 336sqft shed into a tiny house for our new studio! Oh yea, we are doing our best to build a sustainable homestead in central Texas raising pigs, chickens, and rabbits…. and hopefully more!!!!!

Here in Australia when I first moved to the south coast with my teenage daughters we renovated a shed to become our home. We came from off a farm in rural NSW to a 1/2 acre in a small town. I built our kitchen, laundry and bathroom and established our little slice of paradise. Fast forward 10 years the small 1/2 acre with neighbours that were just a little bit too close led us to our 5 acre property. Black Summer bushfires took so much from us but we pulled up our big girl nickers and 4 years later and now 7.5 years here it truly is our piece of serendipity. I miss having cattle but get a lot of joy watching you enjoying yours 🐄 xo

We have a friend that dug a well next to their pond to give it a continuous water flow

We put our onions and garlic in the ground in late fall the winter freezes are good for them

I see u got a Moringa tree growing in ur garden glad to see u growing them. I to grow over 12 moringa trees every summer. And harvest the leaves all threw summer and dry them in the sun to make into powder.

Hey mama! I just stumbled across your video. My husband and I are seeking out land and a way for our family to be comfy. Right now we are a family of 6 and will soon be 7 in June. We also live in TX ( SETX). I am curious on how much roughly it cost to build your home, how many bedrooms/ baths, and if your kids and yourself feel like your cramped or have plenty of space. We currently live in a old 2006 Cavalier camper trailer we fixed up. Comes to about 224 sq ft not including the beds, table, couch, and counter/ cabinets of course. We've been living in this for over a year, 2 years come august. Weve run out of room though. Now we are figuring out our next step. Thanks for sharing your journey!
