As soon as i saw toad in a lawn knew it was a hack.

I actually have had dreams about there being extra levels on these exact spots in this game!! they weren't exactly the same as these ones, but others must have imagined the same things. Too bad they weren't genuine unused levels that can be unlocked with a game genie. These are just made up rom hacks by someone, which is still impressive, but i just wish they really existed.

i really love the idea behind toad's hidden isle. toad famously wasn't in super Mario world so them putting him in a little secret area similar to how yoshi was delicate to a secret area in SM64 is very cute to me.

2:05 my jaw DROPPED. Never knew that music from Yoshi's Island was originally from Super Mario World, simply remastered. Such a hidden little gem!! (My jaw also dropped with joy at 6:10)

I always believed there were hidden secret levels at those exact spots on those islands. I spent ages searching for them & never found them. Always played Chocolate Island 1 looking for a secret exit. I realised years later that they were mods created using lunar magic then I attempted using it & started making my own custom levels.

That last chat with Toad in the Lookout was great. I kind of miss when Toad was a bit of a smartass, like in Super Mario RPG.

He doesn't really have any character anymore. Pretty sad, considering he was one of the very first Mario characters...

I remember back in the mid 90s the secret Island where Toad is did exist but No Toad and the level was different. I was mad that my cousins were able to unlock it and I couldn't after looking everywhere on my game and they wouldnt tell me how they did it. You get there and back thru a teleport star. Always wondered if there were secret cartridges with added levels.
