Just to be that guy;
It ain't the (magical) blood that produces anti-bodies/anti-venom
it is the (complex ) immune system of an entire living animal

Horse blood is the most common, according to US National Institute of Health. That took me closer to 3 seconds. Sheep blood can be used.

My table actually had a terrible, devilish wobble to it. I took my copy of the new testament and put it under the leg, and now it doesn't wobble anymore! This is it! I thought about how jesus is our firm rock, foundation, cornerstone. It blew my mind, and i just stood there feeling this glory, while i tried to fathom this amazing plan God has for me.

That is what those podcasters sound like. Also, Antivenom wasn't invented in 1895. It's cool how it took 1900 years to find the actual logic behind lamb sacrifices... which also have no resemblance to the processes involved in making antivenom. We also use sheep guts to make Violin string, is that proof? Apparently sheep are like the Swiss army knife of "things God intended but didn't happen for millenia."

You are very generous thinking they spent 3 minutes googling. Probably just scrolled to a 30 second tik tok.

Shepherds don't keep sheep because they love them. They either want to fleece them, eat them, or smash them.

Buk buk bukaw. I'm glad to hear that you can use chickens, too. Gonna have me a big bowl of chicken and stars soup. Praise Jesus. 😊

There's something very British about a UK pharma company being surrounded by sheep.

The older I get, the more I realize the capacity to term yourself, “huh, that a really cool and poetic bit of coincidence. I like that, ” instead of, “ragleblargle! This means exactly what I want it to because it makes me feel dopamine to feel smart, ” is a trait that more people need to develop.

I wasn't expecting the weird creationist turn in this weird apologistic lie.

I don't know about the venom thing but made up stories in ancient books say if you smear it on your front door it will keep away the angel of death 😮

"...in Australia", a country with over 70 million sheep.
Dogmatists: "Aha!!!"

Hell's bells 🤦‍♂️

Never could understand why an innocent person had to die for something he didn't do. And they get rewarded for something they didn't do.

Isn't that "Injustice" to begin with?

It's amazing to me.

Dr. Dan: "Maybe you should've googled for more than three minutes."
Me: BURN!! 🙂

And let's all raise our hands in the air and evolution for evolving this ability in the first place.

Working in biochemistry, usually rabbits are the source for specific antibodies we used in research (advantages - fast, disadvantage - not a lot, but enough for experimental purposes). As I recall, for the medical industry horses were the goto - lots of blood. But an important issue is that the person receiving the antibodies not be allergic to horses (this can also be a problem with rabbits, or any mammal - I am sure there are people allergic to sheep who may not be able to use that antivenom).

As always - data > dogma!
