Once again, you hit the ball out of the park. Clear, concise, easy to understand. Your entire team does an amazing job.

Your PartDShopper is much appreciated. I feel like you've already done a major portion of the work for me by weeding out companies you do not recommend. I trust your judgment. Being able to sift through and compare from the list you recommend makes it much easier for me to choose, based on my prescription needs and costs. Highly recommend.

It is interesting to see how much changing from generic to brand name changes pricing, and even coverage, in these plans. And i see that some plans are actually cheaper, if less convenient, getting the prescriptions at a local pharmacy instead of mail order.

Matt, I hit 65 at end of March, started Part A & B in June, with a supplement. I am also a Vet with access to health care and prescriptions. Do I need a Part D plan, or can I skip it?

One observation...in researching drug plans, I read that the $2, 000 only applies to drugs the plan covers. If you are prescribed a drug that the plan doesn't cover, the $2000 doesn't apply until drugs from the plan have exceeded that amount. Since the $2000 is something the government will be implementing, is this an exception to this new policy?

Your videos are very informative. You indicated in your video that you do not "work" with all the Part D insurance providers. I noticed that on your Part D shopper, at least in my zip code, some of your recommended plans had lower star ratings compared to those that did not show up because either you do not recommend them or you do not "work" with them. Can you go into a bit more detail about your filtering process for the Plan D plans as it relates to the Part D shopper? Thank you.

Thanks for the info. How can some of the plans have a zero monthly payment though?

Once upon a time, you used to list the silverscript saver plan. Just wondering why it is no longer listed ?

Just retired at 66 and Medicare eligible as of November 1. But how long do you have to select a Plan D initially? Would it be possible to start Plan D January 1st or does it have to be on the same date as you get your Plan B started? We don't have Rx, but want a plan. But would be happy to skip Nov/Dec if we can without penalty.

You advise not to use hypotheticals. However, couldn't the cost some commonly prescribed drugs (e.g., apixaban, antiandrogens) quickly overcome the premium/deductible cost of a low-premium/higher deductible Part D plan that was selected because you were not yet prescribed these? Wouldn't a plan based upon "hypotheticals" offer a bit of "insurance" against being penny wise and pound foolish. All insurance is based upon hypotheticals. No?
