What my husband is finding, due to these changes, is that some medications are being dropped from their formulary. My understanding is that cost of drugs "not covered" do not go towards the $2, 000 cap. Is that correct?

Our Part D premiums are going from $10 / month in 2024 to $44 per month in 2025. How could this be? They discontinued the plan that was $10 and are moving us to the $44 plan. This is what happens when you force a carrier to incur more cost, they just find a way to pass it along.

The part D companies knew it was coming so they already more than doubled the premiums this year.

We are paying for those changes!! Biden should’ve explained this. The insurance companies wont allow themselves to lose money. Am I right?

She apparently is unaware that the part D premium, for some of us at least, is going from 20/mo to 55/mo. with a $590 deductible That's $1250 a year before I put 1 pill in my mouth. My drugs don't cost anywhere near that much even if I pay the walk in off the street price. And if I don't want the part D coverage then the government penalizes me for not buying the part D insurance.
