Why Buddha’s Closest Disciple Didn’t Get Enlightened | Sadhguru

A story of Gautama the Buddha's elder cousin and closest disciple, Anandateertha. Sadhguru explains that despite constantly being in Buddha's physical proximity, Anandateertha did not get enlightened, to elucidate that proximity does not decide Guru's grace. Rather one's receptivity is what matters.

Both Gautam Buddha and Sadhguru emphasize the importance of inner peace and mindfulness. Their teachings guide us toward living a more conscious and present 🙏☘️

There are many different uncommon things I experience when I meditate - today specifically was very different. You know the feeling you get of a fond memory one has of a place they visited? Well that memory struck me deeply of visiting a place I’ve never been, Isha, where I yearn to go to, it was so potent I burst into tears, memories of scents I never smelled and heat I never felt and a sensation of happiness particular to that place I never felt, how does one have a memory of a place I’ve never been… everything Sadhguru has taught me has changed my life to no end, turned everything I know upside down … there are no words … nothing compares
