This makes me sad. But every word he said is true. I'm 46 years old and I realized that the only person you can rely on is yourself. Only you can pull yourself up from whatever darkness you are in. I was in the worst place in my life. Everyone I knew wouldn't lift a finger to help me. I looked in myself and pulled myself out of depression and darkness. I started to love myself. I started believing I can do anything another person can do. My confidence went to the roof. There is nothing external that can help you in life. Only you can help yourself.

What I love about him and his teachings is, he had never called himself god or something of a god, he had never tried to be politician. He gave up everything and became a pure humble human who just seek the truth through his own will. His teaching wasn't heavy or extreme, he was so practical person but just filled with trustful to human's power. He said any people can be buddha, any people can seek the truth. For him, he doesn't believe in hierarchy or gender. He believed everyone has its potential thru their effort and good heart. Even human can be greater than gods. And he died like anyone. Just like we did. Born human died human. But his teachings gave we human is greater than any myth or system. Rest in piece. Greetings from Korea🇰🇷

Im feeling even more grateful i had the opportunities to follow Buddha's four special sacred places. Even after my train accident, the wounds not serious enough to stop me from visiting Buddha's final point, and area of departure.
Even i was not born a Buddhist, or, unfortunately not in a true Buddhist nation, nor my parents, each from another country, but I feel still the spirit and urge, even at my age, to continue
