Hello and welcome to my vlog from Lausanne! In this episode, we explore the local perspectives on Geneva, as it's often said that the people of Canton Vaud find Geneva "too French." Join us as we interview residents and gather their thoughts on this intriguing topic.

Lausanne is a city on Lake Geneva, in the French-speaking region of Vaud, Switzerland. It’s home to the International Olympic Committee headquarters, as well as the Olympic Museum and lakeshore Olympic Park. Away from the lake, the hilly old city has medieval, shop-lined streets and a 12th-century Gothic cathedral with an ornate facade. The 19th-century Palais de Rumine houses fine art and science museums.

Lausanne is perfectly south-west orientated, young, hilly, less snobby than GVA, has stunning parks with viewing points on the whole lake and the Alps. In summer is where the city really shines with it's multiple beaches and summer activities at walking distance from the city centre. Best city in Switzerland imo.

I´m German, I´ve lived in the french part, the german part and the italian part of CH. I speak fluently Swiss German, German, French and Italian and I tell you swiss is swiss. Geneva, Zurich or Lugano.. the difference is minor, believe me.

You need to realise that the subserbs of Zurich that spread on both side of the lake shore are not very industrial you have not properly explored Zurich go along the Gold coast it’s much nicer than Geneva

As someone from Geneva (from the canton but the not the main city originally), we love the rest of Switzerland if you ask someone here, nobody wants to be French unless they’re from France, French people call us racists and xenophobes because of the massive controversial topic here of the “frontalier” which are people who live in France who cross the border every day for work

There's no such thing as Swiss. Switzerland is a huge mix of European heritages with strick regulations and laws.
