It's called tea cupping. It's a shoulder opening drill from a martial art called Baguazhang. What Airbenders do in Avatar. Therr are variations that involve both arms, and having them on a delay.

It's called tea cupping because the test is if you can do that with a cup of tea in your palm and not spill it.

I will be trying this. I'm a train mechanic, and my shoulder has been getting really inflamed and irritated for the past few years, sometimes making it hard to even drive my car. This seems like it'll do a lot to help with that. I also started sleeping on my opposite side, since I feel like that might have contributed

Try tearing all 8 rotator cuff tendons - all at once. . .You'll definitely have an appreciation for shoulders after that!

I’ve been doing dumbells for bench for 2 years now to keep my shoulders healthy. I did one single barbell bench day with a friend and my shoulder is messed up now. Stick with what works better for *YOU* rather than injure yourself.

Getting under a bar for a back squat is unnatural for muscular men who actually bench. It tears at the elbow tendons/ligaments too.
