Perhaps one of the hardest topics in the whole of A2 maths and not helped by the fact that the Edexcel blue CGP book barely explains it at all; and then the only question they have has an error in it so its unsolvable. Last topic in the book so I can only assume the writers gave up at that point. Thanks for your help again :)

How come its 1.5 for the sin and not the cos.??? It’s halfway but so is the cos!

would the horizontal component 20gsin30 have no turning effect about A as it is horizontal and acts through A ?

i have no idea why its 20gsin30 surely it would be 20gsin60 because it looks like youve made a right angle in the middle not an angle of 60
