Congress MP Jairam Ramesh moved a privilege notice against Union Home Minister Amit Shah on August 2. This after Amit Shah on July 31 told Parliament that early warnings were given to the Kerala government ahead of landslides, but the state government did not act on the warnings. Ramesh called Shah's claim "misleading."

What reply does Mr.Jairam Ramesh & Congress party workers, C.M. of kerala has for 13yrs old Gadgil Report and other reports, including a childs essay on land slides last year and frequently reported, heated discussions in malayalam channels for the past few years regarding eco systems changes etc. This is also applicable all states where there is a mention in the Gadgil Report.
