The Congress has moved a privilege motion against Prime Minister Narendra Modi for sharing the speech of Thakur containing the said comments, but sources said the motion would not stand any ground. The Lok Sabha debate records show that while some parts of Thakur's speech (seven instances) were expunged, this particular portion to which the Congress objected is very much part of the records and was not expunged. The Prime Minister had shared the link of the video put out by 'Sansad TV' with a comment - "This speech by my young and energetic colleague, Shri Anurag Thakur is a must hear. A perfect mix of facts and humour, exposing the dirty politics of the INDI Alliance." Sources said the comments of Thakur were very much in public domain.
