The first time I had these I was in new orleans...it was really windy and we were outside so powdered sugar got literally everywhere

in Indonesia we called it "Roti Goreng". Roti means bread, goreng means fried. So roti goreng is just a fried bread. We used caramelized sugar and sesame as the topping. We had it in savory, salty version too. And it's called "Cakwe".
