Converting My Wooden Bike into an E-bike

About four years ago I built a wooden bike and it's been working great! I decided to see if I could convert my wooden bike in to an Ebike using a front hub motor conversion kit I bought online.

My kit came with a 350watt front hub motor which hopefully is just enough to help me up the hills and won't put too much stress on the frame. I haven't cycled very far on it yet but so far I've been impressed with how well it works.

Interesting thanks. I wondered if you have found online the Beach Racer (?) bikes by a bloke over in San Francisco? In wood of course very flowing curves as I recall. Also the recumbent bikes? The AtomicZombie diy recumbent bike site? Compliments on your large workshop! Laurie. Tokoroa NZ. 😊

Sad to hear you have chronic fatigue. Well done on the upgrade. Would have been great to see your legs out either side of the bike as the motor and battery got you up that hill, but assume this current model only provides assistance? All the best. Thanks for the video. Cheers, David

David, I used to go on 22 mph average bike rides, same problem with chronic fatigue. Double vaxxed with Pfizer, also had COVID twice, biggest regret was moving to a blue state where they restricted everything and threatened the job....

Hope you are feeling better
