I know someone who is a twin that's sister has a different father. They were born in the 50s and didn't find out until they met each other in the 90s. They were adopted and grew up near each other but looked absolutely nothing like siblings so even running in the same social circles and having common friends, there was no question because they looked nothing like each other. It is so rare there's only a handful of cases.
