Prolly gonna go unnoticed, but just wanted to give my two cents on this channel. The amount of useful information on here is priceless and has helped me more than I willing to admit. There’s a lot of misunderstanding and misinformation surrounding ADHD and I’m glad there are places like this that approach it in a very educational and productive way. Thank you. There aren’t any words in the English language that could describe how much I cherish this feeling of validation when watching these videos. Thank you for everything you do. You’re a blessing.

“For someone that has trouble focusing, you seem to have no problem focusing only on your ‘failures’ instead of focusing on how amazing you are, you big idiot.”

Some of best eye-opening advise ever given to me by one of my best friends.

Ending with “you big idiot” shows how much a friend loves you.

I was officially diagnosed with ADHD about two months ago (24 years old). I worked with a therapist for years dealing with generalized anxiety and I always knew deep down it was something else. Since diagnosis I’ve been on medication and it has completely changed everything for the better. The first day taking it I actually cried.. it was the first time I was able to focus on a task without a million thoughts going through my head. The nice thing is, I’m at a stage where I don’t take the medication every day. Only the days that I’m at work

I'm 26 years old and just received my (sever) ADHD diagnosis and began my medication last month. This channel was the first place that made it click in my brain that this was what my struggle was, and is the reason I began the testing process. My life is so much easier now. Thanks for doing what you do!

I'm not neurodiverse, but I continue to watch this channel to educate myself on how to help those I care about who do have ADHD, such as my fiancé, my close friends, and my students. I can't thank this channel enough for providing educational videos to help people deal with daily issues, and to help people like me to better understand how I can support those who are close to me.

Since getting diagnosed a week and a half ago, I've watched just about every video you've uploaded. I love this channel, and you and your team, for creating this space where we can learn how we function, and unlearn beliefs about ourselves.

Been a fan for a while. Diagnosed at 45, now at 51 taking ADHD super-serious having a massive shift on my life, kids and everything. This channel has been extremely valuable, both to me and my oldest daughter, so thanks a million and then some!

I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD for around 8 years and am still trying to figure it out- it’s taking a minute, but this channel helps me a lot, thank you :))

I feel like the emotional part of ADHD is so ignored. It's not just about not being able to focus, or not being able to sit still as it is so stereotyped as. It's so much more than that and I always try to get those around me to see that and to stop making jokes about our stereotypes because they're not even accurate.

One thing I'm really grateful to How to ADHD for, among the many other things, is the amazing community we've built! I love interacting with fellow ADHDers and learning about their experiences, and everyone's super kind and understanding here. Thank you brains! And also a big thank you to everyone who works behind the scenes!

Fun fact, I followed this channel before I thought I had ADHD. Recently I got diagnosed with Mixed ADHD. I found myself realising I followed because I related and had a gut feeling this could be me a long time ago. :) I love how you have become so much more authentic. It made me love this channel even more

This channel is what gave me the motivation and courage to approach my dr. about meds. Tried them (not officially diagnosed, and the psychiatrist/psychologist (I forget which of those he was) wasn't great) in grade school, and looking back on it I see now that they definitely worked, but my mom didn't think they did because she didn't see the effects that _she_ wanted to see, so I was taken off them. Officially diagnosed 2 months before graduating high school, tried meds again (different type than the first time), and it was a huge nightmare, so stopped taking them after about a week because I couldn't sleep, despite taking only 1/4 of a tablet of the lowest dose available of that particular med right when I woke up.

More than 10 years later, after struggling through college and grad school, I finally have the courage to ask my current dr. about trying them again. And I now know that if the first one we try doesn't work, there are a lot of other ones I can try.

I’ve officially gotten diagnosed last month but I suspected for a long time and this channel has been a tremendous help.

Everyone around me would tell me to just be disciplined, stop being lazy, or let me know that “everyone has hard days” but this channel has taught me that I can create a world around myself that lets me be great.—I still have super disregulated days but I have more tools for maximizing my output on good days

Hey. I have struggled literally my entire life.
I obviously have PTSD and Borderline Personality Disorder, but there was something else missing.
Watching this channel (others like it but this one specifically) helped me realize I needed to talk to my Dr about ADHD.
Anyone who knew me for longer than 5 minutes knew.
Yet no one bothered to do anything when I was little because I wasn't flipping tables or getting into fights.
I hope working with and around my ADHD can help unlock my mental health treatment as a whole.
Thank you for the research, time and passion you put into this.
We love you so much.
You are literally saving lives.

Just wanted to say thank you again for all that you and your team do to educate and explain the benefits and challenges associated with ADHD and neuro divergent brains. 52 yrs old and so grateful to make sense of so many struggles in my life. Allows me to cut myself some slack for some of my percieved weeknesses. Thanks again :)

This channel helped me realize I had ADHD, and finally got a diagnosis. Waiting for my next PCP appointment to get a prescription for helping to manage my symptoms.

Thank you for all you do!
