Hi I'm Paul and I sail on the Duyfken and do some maintenance. If you are interested in tall ships checkout my other videos on the playlist including sailing to Tasmania for the Wooden Boat Festival. Also check out Sailing Kate Louise for my popular dinghy cruising channel.

I learned about gravos patching one into the foot of my mast, fixing it into place with a couple of dowels and epoxy resin. When repairing a dinghy it's fun to imagining working on something so monumentally large as Duyfken.

Wonderful Paul, your video really shows the work going into ship maintenance. That's the part most people underestimate. Keep up the good work. 🪢

Did I hit cancel. Thank you for this film. Modern tools, a cheat? At least to see and imagine just how this ship built. 16th century. And the lower hatch; bricks; ain't seen for years. Who suggested taking of this film? I really love this ship. Small part for ship keepers I know and love.

Thank you, the insight of repair, Duyfken, I really love that ship. Shall I mention, modern tools; is that a cheat? Long time since I've seen the hold, those bricks. Only question who suggested a video?

How ship was built 16th Century. Fantastic; just imagine yeap I can. Modern tools bit of a cheat? I noticed Mirijam & Matt (whom I love) only bit parts in the production. Who thought of this film? I find it hard to think someone within the museum coming up with such an idea. Cripes just notice thought I'D cancel guest not. Me & Tech. Old is good.

Boat yards are so noisey. Lots of material to extract.
