Taza Mas has just left Thunderbolt Marine in Savannah Georgia after getting full refit and is now underway headed to Virgin Islands. Taza Mas is now a brand new boat

Wow! I used to work on this boat in 2007. Sad to see all the stuff I used to polish go to trash. We did New England to the Caribbean. I knew it changed hands a few years ago and was very neglected. I guess they finally let cut loose….

What a beautiful yacht, a very lucky guy that salvaged it.

Nothing left what!!!! Those winches alone are over 2000 usd the mast would have value too

Still has winches, anchor, chain, mast, boom & rigging.

that mast is worth a lot of money, and there's railings, Stainless steel, and windows a lot more to salvage, tie downs, so much more to salvage the winch in the back, riggers

As a farmer I can assure you one inch thick stuff brakes all the time 😂. Could have been crack for a long time then finally gave too. So yeah not surprising.

Those are some big beautiful winches that are still on board

Just heartbreaking to see such a beautiful ship in this condition. What a shame.

Steel hull, aluminum uppers.
Massive upkeep!

Look at those 4, 000 dollar deck winches still sitting there in mint condition! How funny that no savage salvager has had the sense to pull those off yet. 😂

I think the anchor winch has been torn off its mountings by a salvage attempt by unskilled salvors

Its aground and not sunk, a sunken boat is not visible above the gunnels.

We had our anchor drop while under way leaving Ft. Lauderdale back in the '90's... (1980's(?)43 foot Gulf Star sloop). Threw it in neutral, ran up & pulled it back up. It can & does happen, not often though.

Looks to me like she got caught in a storm and blown ashore. They probably tried using her anchor to stop her from running aground. It obviously failed. Given the damage to the windlass I think there was only one option that day: stay in harbour.

The mast, the windlass, and the winch she was fondling are certainly worth real money. I'm sure there's other parts in there as well worth salvaging.

Each one of those self tailing winches is worth $3k. Don’t be lazy. Climb under them and remove their anchoring fasteners.

Hate to see such a beautiful boat like that

I saw winches there, big ones, and self tailing. Those are worth quite a bit.

The old Taza crew are close friends of mine. We would party out on A dock in Nanny Cay during the Spring Regatta. When the owner passed away, I wondered what was going to happen to her. 😢 she was an old girl that was getting too expensive to maintain, and there was no real market for her since everyone’s gravitated to luxury cats.
