"Be still, and Know that I AM God" Those words don't really mean much when you just read them. At least, not as much as the experience itself brings to Knowing. I never understood what a lot of that stuff meant, and I was never religious or knew what to think about who or what God was, until I decided to try meditation. I Know now that is the, "Be still", part of that phrase.
I did not expect what happened to me, but suddenly I was filled with the most Amazing Love describable. Beyond what I could imagine. And with it brought the Knowing. I was so happy, I cried. It all made sense. From that point, I discovered how personal the experience is, as I was so excited to tell others that did not understand what I was talking about. Much the same way I had been before it happened. It was just so, ... life changing. It was like being 'born again.' It has put me at odds with the world I live in, and the people I love and wanted to share with. Most of them became distant as they were, and still are, caught up in the material world driven by ego mind, as I was before, to keep up with what the world teaches us is real. It has been an interesting journey to say the least. Family, for the most part, does not invite me any more, and I have learned to keep quiet for the most part, but I can't get rid of the feeling that I need to share what I found INSIDE of me. It's in everything, and I feel connected to it. I know how it feels to be, "in this world, but not of it."
I know I'm not alone, but in the 3D sense, all I really have is a dog to share my remaining days with. And I thank God every day for that. Together, we shine Light out into the world. And Love, lots of Love. Namaste

Being spiritual (by culture I'm catholic, I believe in my faith but I'm not religious and look at Christ as a man who was divine like me) I used to meditate regularly - mindfulness or breathing. I remember one specific moment while doing deep breathing meditation, I fell into a deep trance like experience. I felt I was detached from my body and i felt one, one with the universe, God or all of the above. My minds eye was travelling across vast space of dazzling lights. I have never ever felt this experience in my life and I don't do drugs nor drink, it was all due to my years of meditation. I have also never felt so connected to the universe, i felt very calm and so content, I didn't feel human at all nor did I feel I was on my chair in my lounge, I just felt, whole. It's the best way I can describe it. And you know what, I wasnt dreaming or asleep I knew I was consciously experiencing it. The best feeling I have ever felt, sadly life happened and I haven't meditated as much as I used to.
