I want to see a prequel on the original war between the districts and the capitol. It would be such an interesting period to explore.

I actually loved the Snakes and Songbirds movie, it's so dark in a different way that it's refreshing

Snow's cousin Tigris played a fairly large role as well with both helping him when he was younger and helping the rebels find shelter in the later movies turning on her cousin.

Alma Coin's death was sealed once she proposed a Hunger Games involving children. Not even a neutral person would OK that. If she had proposed a final Hunger Games involving the members of Snow's government (and Cesar Flickerman) to fight to death in an arena probably all the victors would have been OK with it. This is a fictional story of course, but it does screw the mind like nothing else out there.

74 games of children, 12-18, from each district. 1800 children, 75 victors, 1725 children dead, chosen at random and killed in the name of entertainment and justice

In the beginning, Lucy Gray was chosen by the mayor. It wasn't really random at first... I think Snow made sure it was random.

I’d love to see what happened to the world in the first place for Panem to be created. Or atleast a movie set during the first rebellion and we get a true explanation over what happened that started it all. God, I love this franchise.

"We’re gonna be ok."
"Unfortunately, they aren’t ok."
She did not let that one slip 💀

I'd love to see books and movies on the original apocalypse, the war between the capitol and the districts, and haymitch's hunger games, in which there were 48 tributes

Just a note: this is based solely on movies. In the books, Katniss and Peta knew each other before the games. Peta's family was middle-class for District 12, and he helped Katniss by providing bread. She wanted to save him not because she loved him, but because he was a kind soul and he helped her before. Actually, all "love" was faked for the public until almost the very end. She played in love to protect him and their families.

I love the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. It’s one of the films that made me go to the movie theater to rewatch and read the novels to make sure I get the story right. This has never happened to me before in other movies, not even the original trilogy

Also this movie can be a musical itself, and it’s still as good as

It is also important to note that she tried to
un-alive herself with the berries from 74th hunger games right after killing coin. That is
why everyone rushes in to restrain her.
edit: she snuck the berry into her suit before the execution trial

It's not "his uncanny ability to paint tree bark" 😂 it's called camouflage to your environment, it's art and difficult to do

Hopefully they make a film the year of Haymitch. The pool of tributes was doubled that time.

I’ve seen lots of theories about Lucy Grey being some character from the other movies, and I can see the appeal in trying to do that, but I personally think (and hope for story’s sake), that she either was killed by that shot from Snow or was able to escape Panem never to be seen again. I think that puts much more emotion into Snow’s story, as the woman he loved is no longer in his life in any way, shape, or form.

There was a very brief mention in the first book about zombie like creatures and thats why they can't leave their districts, other than the capital was controlling. It was never mentioned again.
I'd like to know more about that, maybe a disease is what brought the US down and started the districts?

This is how you make prequel or origin story. Take note Fantastic Beasts franchise

I watched the movie several times, it's brilliant. Not the story but the twist, the build up, the hidden fact that he is not what he seems to be. It's written so good that you'd keep going back and forth on what he really is. Yet, the moment you rewatch it, and from the very beginning since his grandmother told him his father got killed by a rebel in District 12, and thru other things been said and noticed about him, you realized what kind of person he is, and how he was willing to do everything to be a "Victor"!
You realize that the more amazing she was, the more amazing of an opportunity she became to him to reach his goals.

If Collins ever write another book, I think it will be about the second quarter quell, and Heymitch survial and become a drunk soon after.
