Rockler Mini Lathe Setup and First Turning Project!

I teamed up with Rockler Woodworking to get into wood turning! This video shows the process from lathe setup all the way up to my first turned projects - a bottle opener and a pizza cutter! I make a few mistakes and learn a lot along the way. I hope you enjoy the video, learn something (even if it's from my mistakes), and consider trying out some Rockler turning tools! I'd love to hear your feedback and constructive criticism on how to improve!

Thanks for watching!

Rockler redesigned this lathe, and it appears to be for the better. I bought an early model of this lathe for my very first turning experience and wore it out in just a couple years. The first thing to go south was the quill stop. After that, it just went downhill. But it did enable me to teach myself how to turn. Now I have a full-sized Laguna REVO 1836-- the difference is phenomenal! Still using all carbide edges, as well.
