Nice review I bought one of these about a year ago on sell and the extension. For what little turning I do it's been perfect for me. For us guys without the big budgets it's a good little lathe.

Wonderfully done! This video convinced me to buy the lathe. Can you tell me how you secured the wood.? Without using a chuck ? I was about to spend 150$. But am not sure I need a chuck for the small things I want to turn ....Thanks !

I had a very bad mismatch at the extension . The casting on the underside was horrible .I actually had to put it in my milling machine and do extensive work to be able to bolt the extension on.

I got this lathe as a gift and bought a Nova G3 chuck to turn with it. unfortunately i can't get the drive plate off (it was already on when the old owner dropped it off) Any suggestions?

when aduting the lathe speed do you also have the belt on the matching gear? or do you leave the bottom one where it is and just swtich the top

Same thing as my lathe but from Harbor Freight. Have you figured out how to replace the drive belt? Mine has almost torn to shreds, possible misalignment of pulleys.

Just received mine and how exact does the center of the tailstock and chuck need to be? Please advise... my tailstock center point sits slightly lower..
