US Government is building one of the biggest data center in human history. The capacity of this data beyond our imagination, but this video shows some comparison to the physical world. The source of the data in this video is based on internet data and my calculations.

You'd think the government has better things to do than build large storage facilities and waste it on personal information when they could be storing things that matter so much more. Oh well, I guess Big Brother needs to monitor his assets.

Yo, a Gigabyte hasn't been 1024 MB since 1998. Its was made 1000 for simplicity's sake.

I'm from the future...

C.O.D comfort zone needs 110 petabytes available storage,

I'm using 120 exabytes storage

A more logical nomenclature for the prefix-system would follow the Greek-based numerical system, following the prefix "yotta"= 10^24 (yotta = greek " octa"= 8-fold, while "zetta"
= 10^21 = Greek " hepta"= 7 and "exa"=10^18=Greek "hexa"=6:
Exa= 1, 000^6,
Zetta=1, 000^7,
Yotta=1, 000^8.

Let's continue this list:
Xenna=1, 000^9=10^27= Greek "ennea"=9, then Xento would mean 10^-27 or 1, 000^-9
Weka=1, 000^10=10^30=Greek "deca"=10, then Wekto would stand for 10^-30 or 1, 000^-10
Vendeka=1, 000^11=10^33=Greek "hendeca"=11, while Vendekto would be 10^-33 or 1, 000^-11
Udeka=1, 000^12=10^36=Greek " dodeca"=12, and Udekto 'd mean 10^-36 or 1, 000^-12
Treda= 1, 000^13=10^39=Greek "triadeca"=13, where Trekto stands for 10^-39 or 1, 000^-13
Setta=1, 000^14=10^42=Greek "tetradeca"=14; Setro= 10^-42 or 1, 000^-14
Retta=1, 000^15=10^45=Greek " pentadeca"=15;Rento=10^-45 or 1, 000^-15
Quetta=1, 000^16=10^48=Greek "hexadeca" =16;Quexo=10^-48 or 1, 000^-16
Pepdeka=1, 000^17=10^51=Greek "heptadeca"=17; Pepto=10^-51 or 1, 000^-17
Ocdeka=1, 000^18=10^54=Greek "octadeca" =18;Ocdekto= 10^-54 or 1, 000^-18
Neadeka=1, 000^19=10^57=Greek "enneadeca" =19;Nento=10^-57 or 1, 000^-19
Mixa=1, 000^20=10^60=Greek "icosa" =20; Micto=10^-60 or 1, 000^-20
Lenta=1, 000^21=10^63=Greek " henicosa"= 21;Lento = 10^-63 or 1, 000^-21
Koxa=1, 000^22=10^66=Greek " docosa"= 22; Kocto = 10^-66 or 1, 000^-22
Jixa=1, 000^23=10^69=Greek "triacosa"=23; Jicto= 10^-69 or 1, 000^-23
Itretta=1, 000^-24=10^72=Greek "tetracosa" = 24; Itrecto= 10^-72 or 1, 000^-24
Hetta=1, 000^25=10^75=Greek "pentacosa"= 25;Hento= 10^-75 or 1, 000^-25
Gexa=1, 000^26=10^78=Greek "hexacosa" =26;Gexto= 10^-78 or 1, 000^-26
Feppa=1, 000^27=10^81=Greek "heptacosa"=27;Fepto= 10^-81 or 1, 000^-27
Ecta=1, 000^28=10^84=Greek "octacosa"=28; Ectetto= 10^-84 or 1, 000^-28
Denta=1, 000^29=10^87=Greek " enneacosa" =29; Decto= 10^-87 or 1, 000^-29
Citta= 1, 000^30=10^90=Greek " triacosa" =30; Cicto= 10^-90 or 1, 000^-30
Benta= 1, 000^31=10^93=Greek "hentriacosa" =31; Becto= 10^-93 or 1, 000^-31
Atretta=1, 000^32=10^96=Greek " dotriacosa"= 32; Atrecto= 10^-96 or 1, 000^-32
Zenta=1, 000^33=10^99=Greek " triatriacosa" =33; Zecto= 10^-99 or 1, 000^-33
Googla=10^100=a googol-fold ; Googto= 10^-100 = one googolth
Boogla= 10^200= a boogol (bi-googol)-fold; Boogto= one boogolth (10^-200)
Troogla=10^300= a troogol (trigoogol)-fold; Troogto= one troogolth (10^-300)
Quadroogla= 10^400= a quadroogol-fold; Quadroogto= one quadroogolth (10^-400)
Quintoogla=10^500= a quintoogol-fold; Quintoogto= one quintoogolth (10^-500)
Decoogla=10^1, 000= a decoogol-fold or googol^10 ; Decoogto= one decoogolth (10^-1, 000)
Centoogla=10^10, 000= a centoogol-fold or googol^100; Centoogto= one centoogolth ( 10^-10, 000)
Milloogla= 10^100, 000= a milloogol-fold or googol^1, 000; Milloogto= one killoogolth (10^-100, 000)

Well, the names for all these prefixes would follow a logical path and could be pronounced ( and therefor used) easily.
Of course even additional names could be invented and given for even larger units, but hey...I reckon this list is quite sufficient so far, right?

Maybe this list might be a suggestion for an extended International (numerical) Standard?

Id don't get it. If one Yottabyte is the size of 80% Connecticut, How will they fit it inside of a data center no larger than a few acres on a mountain side (as shown in the pic)???

I'm sure one day we'll have a yottabyte storage drive the size of a tb drive

1982 my parents bought a $3, 000 dollar (at the time) IBM PC (8088). The external hard drive was 10 MB. That alone cost $500. In 1982 a Yottabyte drive sold by IBM would cost 148 quintillion (The earth is supposedly worth about 1000 times less then this.)

Man by parents got hosed by IBM!

Wait... why are we counting by 1024? I thought SI units (mega-, giga-, tera-, etc.) were by 10's or 100's.
