Raise emissary when you get ready to return with your ship, you will get a level or two picking up loot. Yes, it isn't emissary 5 but you are going for low risk so your reward won't be as high but it is still something.

I never loot barrels.
I just start the last pirate life tell tale, pick up 4 ghost crates and end up with 200 cannonballs and 100 planks. It’s a lot quicker. Even end up with a pineapple most of the time. However it means no curses cannonballs but you only really need them for pvp.

If you want the emmisary bonus just raise the flag *after* you finish the treasury/shrine *before* you go pick up the stuff👍

Supplemental for what's suggested in this video: Grab a rowboat, leave it at the shrine/treasury and use it to get the loot back so you can't even get spotted easily once you have the loot.

Supplemental to the supplemental: On a new server, check the emissary table for reapers, if there's none go raise your emissary of choice. Find a rowboat, hide your ship somewhere out of sight, use the rowboat to get to the shrine/treasury, do the whole thing and then you get the emissary bonus when you return the loot to your ship using the rowboat and cash in. Just don't take two hours to do it or there might be a reaper 5 show up.

Note: If you don't know the world map yet, using a website and having to figure out where you are without the ship map is really good practice to learn it. Use your compass too. I believe in you.

Treasures are one of the best things to happen to PvE gang, since as long as you put the loot in the statue nobody can steal it from you, so even when you get sunk, you won't lose it.

Emissary flags are a lot like mailbox flags: They're supposed to tell the stuff-deliverer people that there is stuff to deliver, but instead they just tell everyone where to go to steal stuff.

I do the same thing with other stuff like gold hoarder vaults. Once im done with a vault, shrine or fort, ill scuttle the ship again just to flush out any tuckers on a respawned ship. THEN ill go back to the ship lol. I hide my treasure in out the way places, away from the shoreline and not in any tunnel. Usually under thick bushes next to trees if possible. NEVER bury because it spawns a map on your ship to take.

Well technically for emmys if you're with other crew members you can have one vote while at the starting outpost, do the whole scuttle then slash slash fight. Before picking up loot the other crewmates go back to the ship fly near an outpost, slap a vote on. Crew inside the treasury then picks up the loot and puts into statue. Then all the emmy rep is gained when you touch the pink floof mermaid!

you know, when I started playing this game, I really was on the pve server side...after 100 hours I realized how utterly boring this game would be if it were pve. Even with the current pvpve servers, I really get bored from time to time. Rare really needs to add minigames on your ship so that you can do something while you sail for 10+ minutes. Cleaning your ship, properly fixing your ship to remove battle scars or I dont know, liars dice or any other minigame, that you could play with your friends. Fishing gets too boring to do while sailing.
