How to Speedrun Shores of Gold [Semi-Fix in Description] | Sea of Thieves

The fix still let's you speed run, but it automatically starts the fight.

Found a new glitch to speedrun Shores of Gold pretty efficiently. I hope it's of use, someone. It has been useful for farming the gold curse. You will still need someone to provide the checkpoint in order to be the most efficient to get the gold curse.

NOTE:: It was discovered that using a mouse and keyboard for this glitch is a hell of a ton easier than xbox. I don't exactly know why, but yeah. Thought I'd mention it.

Cheers man, turned what could've been several hours into a 3 hour session. Could've been shorter if we didn't need to do 1 loop for the journals but I'm not complaining; probably would never of gone for the curse otherwise

Just a suggestion for future vids and u may have already done it but show black screen spots on important islands. Forts, Outposts, Reapers Hideout, the Arena Tavern, and many other locations. It’s often quicker then getting a mermaid and can be useful in tdms on a fort.

Another instance of gaps at the corner of barriers. Sea of thieves is notorious for this kind of thing. There used to be a similar issue under the Pirate Lord in the Athena's fortune which would cause you to pop out in the seas under Sea Dog Rock with infinite vision.

Still works, thanks for posting. I've already done Shores of Gold twice before legit but had the skull stolen 2nd time from me while leaving. Gonna unlock this gold curse today!

The glitch still working. Out of curiosity i've done the glitch again after slaying the gold hoarder, and he was there right after, even without getting the tall tale again, so you can do it to get the commendation for selling 5 of his skulls without sailing back to Morrow's Peak to vote for the tall tale. Thanks for the vid btw, i already got the gold curse but i wanted the achievement for sitting on the gold hoarder's throne xD

A slight tip is to keep moving forward after the lunge, I was stepping a bit too early.
