Try applying the parking brake before putting the car into park. Because having the car in park alone on a hill puts strain on the transmission. plus it's only a metal tab keeping the car from moving.

That's a master cylinder shown at first. Brakes.

I liked how mr so called transmission professional decided to show an irrelevant part (brake master cylinder),
Instead of a torque converter or a valve body, or maybe even a solenoid or something.
good way to confuse new people trying to learn a thing or two....lmao

Fail. That's a master cylinder for your brakes not a transmission. lol

Always make sure your brake master cylinder is topped off with transmission fluid or else your transmission will fail. Pro tip, remember to flip your brake pads to have even wear on both sides of the pads.

Thank you for your advice. I just changed transmission fluids, which hasn't been changed for 11 years/ 180 k km and the stuff was pitch black. My car (Citroen C5 3.0 V6 with ZF4-automatic) has still strange symptoms: there occurs a jerk, when I'm approaching traffic lights. I think it happens when the turbine lock unlocks (gearshift in D-position or tiptronic locked in 2:nd gear). In addition to that the gearbox shift gears up too early, 4th gear locks down at 45 km/h (28 mph). Would these be symptoms of failing transmission? That has happened before and after the oil change

did you check the fluid level in the transmission, because if its so low, it might not be able to move at all like you said, and if thats the case you might have damaged the governor too.

Never show a brake master cylinder in a transmission video. They take different fluids and will damage both the transmission and the brake system if you use the wrong type fluid. The correct fluid for all vehicle systems is in your vehicle manual.

I own a 2014 Chevy Malibu. Lately when I press the gas, the vehicle will stall or not move and the RPM will move from 1, 000 Rpms to 3, 000 rpms, than it will continue moving. I don’t remember the last time I changed my transmission fluid. So My best guess is that, I need to do one soon.

If your transmission fluid is disappearing but not leaking underneath your car it may be your transmission vacuum modulator is bad and your fluid is being sucked into the motor and burned .

Hi I love watch your videos and my question is: I have a Honda Accord 95 and I still don't know how to check to level of the fluid. First I wanted explain that when the engine is cold I can not get reverse on it. After it get hot everything goes normally. I think I need put more fluid but I don't know exactly the level must be when the car is running and the correct temperature. Do it must be on the bottom mark of the dipstick or the upper mark on it? Thank you so much.

so my cars transmission fluid had to much and i did another drain refill. i have a 2000 honda accord. on level ground at operating temperature the dipstick reads normally and full. however, when parked slightly uphill no fluid is on the dipstick. also my gas pedal is more difficult to push down. no slipping or grinding

Hi, I have Honda accord 95 and I still don't know how to ckeck the fluid level. I want to change the fluid and I know that the fluid comes out is by 3 quarter. If it comes out less than that do I put 3 quarter? Can you tell me how to check the correct level, if the engine hot or cold and how to read on dipstick? Thank you so much, I hope you can understand me. Bye.
