There’s plenty of variations. I use “Butt Kicks with toe flick” to focus on the toes pointing backward after foot strike, and “Good Morning Hamstrings” for her second version. Both have their uses. The first one is part of good mechanics at certain running paces; her second version is more sprint/mid distance mechanics since she’s a heptathlete.

That is the most important drill there is. And I have seen it done wrong all my life. Good answer. Now, more importantly remember to do this while running. And do bounding drills to cover more ground quickly for the spring in your step.

Depends. If your trying to only fire hamstring the first is closer to correct. The second is closer to a bicycle run, and the hip flexor is compensating

(Sorry for my English.) I know both versions before. But the newest one I heard is, do not do butt kicks anymore. In reality, we need not bring our heel to touch our butt. We need only drive our knee to the front when our foot is out of the ground. (Do not wait too long for the heel up first and then drive the knee to the front. Like A exchange.) What do you think?
