ZZZ has a Problem

Ok I seriously need to address this, the title says that ZZZ is almost perfect, and I fully believe that this game could have been even better than it already is, but it has a major problem that is very sensitive: fanservice. I was severely disappointed when I found out how much fanservice was actually in the game . I did expect some fanservice as most anime games will have their fair share of it for marketing tactics, but most {other than Nikke… it's either nike or nikke i don't know :( } wouldn’t shove it in peoples faces in order to maximize the diversity of players they could have. This is a hoyoverse game, and it kinda feels like they weren’t taking it seriously when make the game because Genshin for example, has fanservice if you are intentionally looking for it, but for a casual player who just wants to play the game, they will 90 percent of the time not encounter it. That being said, ZZZ is different, the beginning of the game doesn’t necessarily blast you with horrible marketing schemes, but lets you in gently and then shoves fan service in your face once you're hooked. Now you may be wondering: why is this a problem? Well for starters, for some people it’s not and it’s actually just another amazing feature of the game, I even know some were distraught that ZZZ got hit with censorship, but for others it’s kinda annoying because it turns the game into a meme (kinda like fire force the anime), they just wanna experience the game with no weird gimmicks attached, and lastly there’s people like me, who like these types of combat and story based anime games, but also hate fanservice, whether it be because of personal reasons or because there trying to be family friendly, it’s just really a perspective issue, and I think it could have been dealt with a lot better or if not exactly like Genshin impact was. I mean come on, it's the same company! Plus the Japanese or Chinese version was already in a lot of censorship trouble with standard regulations.

The fan service in this game compared to their other games is astounding, like I thought black swan was fanservicey but no Jane doe's trailer or whatever? Literally a bdsm scenario😭

I think that is truly a personal preference gripe tbh. Its a fair one and you are allowed to have. I just don't think the fan service is that bad in zzz. Genshin it is completely non existent and that is okay too. But to me if you make a meme-y fan service game and judging from all the ads for zzz it was clearly depicted as such, i just think the point is moot to make it a con for anyone else. Hoyo is trying to appeal to as many people as possible both in their company as well as fanbase. H13 was THICK with fan service too. But there is HSR to balance that now. If you don't like fan service or want to be family friendly that is fair. Please play hsr and genshin and there are 5 more games hoyo is coming out with. One or more are bound to meet your requirements. Its okay to not be the target demographic of a game tho. It doesnt make it a bad game if it has fanservice. Its just not for you.
