I really like ZZZ but it's not without it's problems. In this video we'll take a look at what I think are the three biggest problems ZZZ has and consider somew ways that they could be fixed. What do you guys think? Anything I missed? Let me know down below!

#2 is such a big deal. There's so many buffs and debuffs that go around that it's hard to keep up specially with 0 visible indicators that certain buffs have been triggered, like with disks, for example

#1 is a typical hoyo practice. Unless people stop playing their games, they will never implement permanent weapon gacha system. What sucks is that some of the free 4* w-engines are useless.

I am sure they could add indicators for buffs and then add in a toggle to just turn the bubbles off if you didn't want to clutter your display.

As someone that lost 4 50 50s in a row, they should introduce the capturing radiance from Genshin into zzz on top of the guaranteed weapon banner.

Personally i wish that they will make more so-called "dates" with old characters. It will always be interesting to know something new about character or just have a good time with them.

Other things they could do to improve w-engine gacha:
-introducing a w-engine-banner-specific pull currency, and perhaps giving a healthy amount as a reward for Trust Levels or mindscapes
-adding the “300-pull guaranteed choice of S-rank” feature from the standard banner to the W-engine banner, perhaps with a lower requirement
-instead of a 100% chance at 80 pity, keeping the 75/25 but reducing the pity to 40 or 50. That would value the W-engine copies much less than a S-rank copy.

I can attest as someone who lost on Yanagis weapon, it fucking sucks. Besides the usufelness characters vs engines, another thing that sucks of pulling on the W-engine banner is that the probability of getting extra tapes is way lower. If you have M6 A-ranks you get the equivalent of an extra tape everytime you pull it again, this does not happen with the W-engines and im currently drowning on Billys and Anbys w-engines with fuck all to do with them .

I would like the map too. I think ZZZ has a very cool world, but it needs to be fleshed out more. The hollows, the Outer Rim, New Eridu, Old Eridu... it really paints a neat picture. It would be cool to see how it all fits together. I mean if we're going to be drip-fed story beats, you might as well put it on the "big board" for us to see it all filling in slowly. Then you can take a big step back and sort of appreciate how far you've come.
- By way of contrast: in fantasy books like the Inheritance Cycle or a Song of Ice and Fire, I would constantly refer to the map to place houses, events, characters and factions, and it really helped me understand the story better. Even in Genshin, I like remembering areas by where they are, not just what they are (it's not just a mountain, it's Dragon Spine, nestled between Mondstadt and Liyue and the sea, where I did X, Y and Z then flew from the Sky Frost Nail all the way to Mondstadt City).

ZZZ is very visually appealing - the animation style is really good/vibrant and New Eridu feels like a living place... the map is that little push it needs to be complete (and make fast travel easier).

Omg yes on the Persona-like map screen. It’s pretty much what the devs tried emulating anyway with it, like with the time system. They should totally make the map like P5.

Weapon banner not being guaranteed is such a bad feeling and needs to change. Maybe a smaller change they could make: Make it 75/25 until you hit hard pity but hard pity is 100%. That would mean for example if you get a standard S-Rank weapon at 20 pulls, your pity counter doesn't reset and your next weapon is guaranteed the limited one. Or you hit hard pity but it's guaranteed the limited one. So actually getting the wrong S-Rank weapon might even feel "good".

The map thing would be really cool for "Lore and Story" purposes. I'd love to see where everything is respectably in the world. Something I'd like to see, as it's personally kinda hard for me to level up agents. Is Agents getting XP from you just doing stuff, like if I run the H.I.A for 10ish runs using Jane, Caesar, Burnice. It'd be nice to see them level up 2 or 3x from doing so. And having the XP bricks (Can't remember what they are called.) As a way to "Speed Up" leveling up an Agent. (My Jane has been Level 55 for like a month now.)

Regarding the map, have you noticed the background of the selection is a map of New Eridu? I feel at some point having the map locations was intended to be there, but maybe it was scrapped at some point because it needs to fit in the tiny screen of a phone game.
But I agree with you. Having a map of New Eridu to move around would help the feeling of immersion.
Something similar happens with the HDD. I've seen screenshots of the beta where instead of Story, Combat, Investigation appearing in bubbles, they had the Hollow Zero, the Lemnian Hollow and the Cretan Hollow right there on the map. It was super cool to see. And when you have a mission you can say "oh, this mission takes place in the Lemnian Hollow, that's next to Lumina Square."
I understand the need to make it simpler for casual players, but I wish it was more an option. We have so many locations now that scrolling through it's a pain.

btw, love the idea of persona's map/fast travel. That way we can also roughly see how the ZZZ world/zone map look like

Having been playing FFXIV for years, where all buffs are always visible on screen, and you can divide them in a few categories, and place those anywhere you want on your screen and at whatever size you want, ZZZ's somewhat arbitrary displays of buffs has been slightly off-putting! Why do some buffs have icons, but others are invisible? Why is the Ceasar's shield buff the only one visible next to the character? I really wish they were at least some settings for this, like for making the currently invisible buffs visible, and for putting them all close to the on-field agent and at various possible sizes.

Heyyy! A ZZZ AND Persona fan!!! Right on!

I actually got into Hoyoverse because HSR is kinda similar to Persona I guess. I thought I’d love it. I do enjoy it a lot and will keep playing, but I actually prefer ZZZ now funny enough. I prefer the music, characters, and surprisingly even the gameplay.

Another change that needs to happen: The cash shop. The prices for Monochrome are way too high for how little you get and how awful the pull rates are. $15 for enough Poly for five pulls. $15 FOR FIVE PULLS! That is a lot of money for how little value you get! In any other gacha, $15 would get you enough for two 10 pulls. At mininum you gotta spend $5 just to have enough for a single pull, not even two pulls. This isn’t even factoring in how awful the S Rank rates are that you’ll have reach the soft pity range which the $100 purchase doesn’t even cover! That’s over 12, 000 poly you gotta spend for a single S Rank and even the $100 Monochrome package isn’t enough to cover that!


If you have to spend that much to get a single character, at that point just give me the limited character. It should not cost more than a brand new AAA console game just for a single character. Either increase the rates, lower the prices, or make the bonus Monochrome from first time purchases just part of the base amount

Pulling for weapons makes absolutely no sense to me when I can clear end game content without it, even when I don't match the enemy weaknesses. Same for character cinemas, they make combat a little more convenient, which is why it's good to do it for your A Ranks, but to purposely pull for extra copies of limited characters is just whale behavior, I don't need it.
