This was a huge help for me. I spent nearly two weeks trying to figure out what was wrong with my Sportster 1200 until I came across this video that explained how far out the screw should be and what possible solutions could be. Great content, Rocco!

I have a xl1200 that came to me with a arlen ness air filter I was getting a rough idle, and lots of popping in decel. I upped the idle jet from 42 to 45 and drilled out the plug for the idle air mixture screw after watching your videos. The screw was only 1 turn out. I upped it to 2 and added screamin eagle slip ons as well. Runs great now, thanks a million Rocco!

Thank you from New Zealand. I have an Evo 1340 Dyna & love it but it's contributions by guys like you that help keep it working well.

I took your advice and replaced my Petcock because the bike was running very rough after 30 minutes of riding. It was idling very fast, then I watched this video and found one of the hose lines was cracking at the bottom of carb. I fixed that and now the 2006 sportster custom is running much better. You saved me a bunch of money and I was able to do it myself. I like learning stuff like this. Again Thank you very much I appreciate your time and advice. Love your video's.

When I removed the plug, I found my screw already adjusted to the "sweet spot" that you recommend, 1 5/8 out. I left it there. I've had no black smoke and my spark plugs were light tan when I changed them with 10K miles on them. The only adjustment I needed to do was replace my stock #42 pilot jet with a #45 one to eliminate the cough on take-off, which I referred to in my comment on your video on replacing jets.
Thank you for your excellent videos!

Thanks for the vid. Shout out to you for getting back to everyone in the comments. I read through a lot of them as well as your responses and got some good info.

A lot of people post videos and never respond to comments!

You the best rocco thanks for the info figured out this is exactly why my carb was stalling a bit, too much air not enough fuel!

Thanks for this Rocco! I think my 04 sporty is running rich. New plugs in and the ends are BLACK after 1 run. Rear cylinder is occasionally doing a little misfire whilst running too. Going to adjust the mixture screw and see how it goes from there. Learning loads from your videos mate, thanks a bunch!

Another great video, I’ve learn so much on just two of your videos. It has given me confidence to address a tick over problem I may have. Mike Wales UK.

I like the CV carb, easy to work on and very reliable. Looks like the plastic 90° inlet has been changed, been there and done that...lol
