Out of all the "adjust pushrod" videos I watched, yours was the icing on the cake.
I did exactly as you instructed, ignored such things as TDC, and had no knowledge of my brand names to use any such calculator charts (flats info etc), and now my bike runs perfectly after a complete rebuild!
I cannot thank you enough for solving what I believed was a mysterious pain in the ass problem with no solution in sight. THANKS!!!

Some people are good at book learning. I’m old school and learned with a hands on understanding of how mechanical things work. One of the little tricks I learned was to use a small bungee cord from harbor freight to hold the lifter covers up and out of the way. I heard some people using clothesline pins but a clothesline pin isn’t something that I really have laying around. All in all very informative video on how to adjust the pushrods.

Wow, the best explanation on simplifying it for everyone. Every video you got on YouTube of this exact same install these guys are taking about lash and thousandths and adjusting to gap spaces and bla bla bla. But you have made it understandable for any gearhead and I can not appreciate that anymore. Going to save my self almost $400-$500 in labor for a cam swap

Thanks JC, that is super simple. as a non mechanic too, getting an 87 flhtp road ready again after sitting for about 6 yrs, this helps. I have also completed the trann seals, rebuild clutch basket, on the primary side. cam, bearing, seal, and breather gear lifters pushrods, and should be gooing back together early next week. I am a biit concerned about the eletronic timing, but i did mark where it was before. I just found you and subscribed. Thanks again PS nice FXR!

paper clip and a rubber band to hold covers up. also when cam lobes are down 'base circle' piston is up on TDCC. top dead center compression. so you did it correctly and had it on TDCC :)

Ok so what happens if when they bleed down you still can't free spin them? Just back them off a little more til they free spin? I'm still unclear on this and I'm going to install a 1275 kit with SE heads on my Sportster. So please reply. Thanks.
