Lavender Simple Syrup

1c Water
1c Sugar
2-4tbs Lavender buds (make sure they are safe for consumption)
Optional: 1tsp Butterfly Pea Flowers or Food Coloring of your choice

Mix all the ingredients together and let come to a simmer. Leave at simmer for one to two minutes before removing from heat and letting steep for 10-15 minutes. Using a funnel and strainer, pour syrup into preferred vessel and let cool in the fridge overnight. Great with lemonade, ice tea, lemon lime soda, or mixed drinks!
