Abbey Road Medley by The Beatles - OMBFC #400

Well, here it is: The Hefty Sheboygan, the Great Shaboodle, the Big Shabang. This specific OMBFC took me longer than any other ever has, and it presented me with a very unique challenge. I don’t talk about this much publicly, but I suffer from a vision condition called retinitis pigmentosa, which currently leaves me legally blind and will eventually leave me totally blind due to the constant death and lack of regeneration of my rods and cones. I bring this up only because my with my vision, it is incredibly difficult to see objects that project any form of transparency, especially when there are bright or colorful backgrounds behind them. Enter The Beatles: Rock Band. This game is the perfect storm for my condition, and for every song in the game, I had to basically memorize the charts as I couldn’t rely on my poor vision to help me out. While this was largely annoying for most songs, and very difficult for a few of the longer ones, none came close to this 17 minute behemoth. Yeah sure, the instrument charts are not overly difficult by any means on their own (I actually believe that this vocals chart is the most difficult one that Harmonix ever produced), but imagine playing and FCing each and every one on performance mode, and you’ll get a better picture of what I had to deal with in completing this. All that being said, this is a truly fantastic collection of music, and HMX was truly wildin’ to include this as its own track in the game. I hope you all enjoy!

"And in the end, the love you take, is equal to the love you make" this was the last phrase from this legendary group.

We all obviously agree that the beatles are true legends, but we also have to agree that the animation is amazing, the game developers made an incredible work doing this game

I'm going to assume not a lot of people read the description because this person did this ENTIRE medley while LEGALLY BLIND.

The amount of work put into this one is insane, glad it could all come together

Ringo is a genius. That drum chart might look relatively simple, but it's so goddamned musical it makes me wanna stab myself in the ear with my drumsticks.

At the end, John says "That's a nice beginning". Pretty cool.

16:46 How ironic that John says "such a nice beginning"

This is grace for the later Beatles fans who missed out on the DLC opportunity like myself. It's nice to see what the tracks would've been. Especially the drums on 'Bathroom Window'.

so romantic the way this game depicts them all playing and singing together like this.

huge effort put into this game, specifically character and instruments designs. as a drummer, those drums ARE ludwig. refreshing since most of the time drums are horribly adapted into media.

The only time you get to hear this medley on YouTube uninterrupted by CD tracks changing, ads, or having to click on successive videos in a row to hear it

Honestly dude, you are a legend. Not only did you FC the longest/most difficult Beatles song on all instruments but you got this and the rest of the rest of the individual medley parts up too. This video is what inspired me to work on my Beatles RB project in the first place. Amazing work dude.

I was a college sophomore when the album was released in the fall of 1969. My roommate and I wore the LP out. Then a few months later came the breakup. What a gift they were and what this video is.
