My first time using an OLED gaming monitor - is it worthy of the hype? I used mine for 30 days and here are my thoughts.

The "Why Curve is important" section was excellent! I've *never* seen anyone else explain this concept better! Great review but I'll be waiting for a higher PPI version, ideally a 38" 3840x1600p OLED since 5120x2160p won't be easily drivable

I have it . Its the best Ultrawide for gaming period in my view. I don't need 4k gaming. Its the perfect size with at 45 inch 21;9 aspect ratio. OLED is a game changer. Im never going back.

I enjoyed this review a lot! Most reviewers appear in the video more than the actual monitor. You show more of the monitor and a good selection of various games. I also like it when you show yourself using it, 3:06, helps with scale.

I use it for Sim racing, it's fantastic. But the 5k/2k version will be out soon, I recommend most folks wait for that if you plan on sitting close to it. For gaming though, this 1440p version is great, less pixels to push.

Over the summer, I upgraded from an IPS LCD Asus 27" ROG monitor to the Alienware AW3225QF - a 32" QD-OLED 4K display. Going OLED was an absolutely massive upgrade, especially for gaming, and the colours and everything looks absolutely amazing! Not to mention HDR looks so much better than it did on a LCD with no local dimming zones.

The vertical height difference is not "slight". 45" 21:9 is an ultrawide version of a 36.5" or 37" standard 16:9 monitor while 49" 32:9 is a super ultrawide version of a 27" standard 16:9 monitor...A 32" screen is already a quite a bit bigger picture compared to a 27" screen let alone a 36.5"-37" screen compared to a 27".

I’ve been using this thing for almost a year now, and I love it. I don’t think I can ever go back to a smaller monitor… ever.

I just wish the ps5 supported ultra wide.

This an excellent review. I owned a G9 Odyessy 49" for years and switched to this. I cannot state how much I missed the verticle pixels but didn't know it. This paired with a high end gaming rig will absolutely crush any game and provide an amazing experience of silky smooth movement with vibrant visuals. It is the sweet spot imo, performance meets visual fidelity. 50 series cards will be able to do this better at 4k, if you have a 30 or 40 series card, 1440p is the way to go if you want the best of both worlds.

LG just announced two new version of their 45" ultrawide OLED. Both of them are now 5k2k. Way better resolution than the 1440p on this model.

I’ve had this monitor for several months now and it’s a beast. I prefer playing on this over my 42C2 simply because the immersion granted by the aspect ratio and curve more than outweighs the benefits of a 4K image. Playing @ 16:9 4K feels very cramped now 😂
