Wow, interesting perspective from people who have never been trained how to properly use retractable leashes. If used properly they are fantastic for your little friend and can provide additionally freedom to both them and the owner. Been using them for years without any issues.

I despise retractable leashes. I have a nice dent in my leg where the cord wrapped around it many years ago. THROW THEM OUT.
