The biggest benefit of RDLs over good mornings imo are the stretch on lats and traps, a way to sneak in extra back volume from hinging

I love how you make videos about all the exercises I use as substitutes for more popular ones. I rarely see anyone using trap bars or doing RDL's in my gym, meanwhile I love both of them.

At 29 my old football injury (lower back disc herniation) really flared up. I could barely walk. I was recommended for surgery (again). After a couple years of accupuncture I was able to get back in the gym with a posterior focus. I regularly RDL @ 225 nowadays. Back feels great. I can squat again. I am actually a lower back success story. Don’t get surgery until you tried all the other non-lazy ways to recover.

RDLs are amazing for hamstrings, glutes and spinal erectors. I do them as a secondary movement (in the 5 to 10 rep range) after squats and have noticed some muscle development after 4 months. (i'm beginner tho)

Did anyone else notice after doing a lot of rdls that the plates would touch the floor? When this happened for me I switched to defict rdls.

I wish you were my gym teacher back in the day. Can you do a video of every type of exercise that can be done on a smith. I'm got a pf membership till I switch to LA fitness or retro. Lost 50 pounds so far and I'm getting stronger every week.

I do low reps with conventional and high reps with RDLs. The carry over is insane!!!

I like RDLs over deadlift as they are safer for me and my back as I have a history of herniated disc in lumbar spine

+AlphaDestiny Can you build big traps without heavy ass weights? I dont have super heavy ass weights at home. Just like two 50lbs dumbbells. Sucks that I want to have bigger traps but dont have heavy ass weight.
