So you did not mention the clip holding the cylinder in place. Is yours missing? It is there to.keep the cylinder where you have adjusted it to

Can you explain how this is the case? I'm a bit confused.

I've seen elsewhere that the handbrake isn't adjustable and you have to fit an adjuster on the rear drums. Can I just adjust it here? Why do people say that I can't?

Is it normal for that parking brake pedal to be so close to the panel? On our XC90 I feel like I'm using the small toe on my left foot to apply the handbrake, not pleasant at all. My MB W124 has a similar handbrake pedal, but there I use the ball of my foot, can the Volvo pedal not be adjusted to sit more to the right?

My footbrake doesn't really work, the car will still roll if in neautral, before I faff about with the rear shoes etc, which way would I turn to "tighten" this up?
