I've only seen the 1st season of the remake & the 1st ep of the OG so far. I'll admit I didn't enjoy it all that much it jus didn't click wit me almost at all(the remake, need more time on the og) but I've committed to goin through a lot of it(simply as far as I'm able) & these could help motivate me. Also I thank Atsuko Tanaka for bein the voice of many characters I grew up wit & love so much💜

The Sailor Guardian romances actually came from a scrapped concept, brought about because the manga and 90s anime were being made in tandem. It's actually an interesting story.
Takeuchi wanted to give the inner scouts love lives, and even eluded to it in the Sailor V manga (which came out before Sailor Moon). However, the people working at Toei took it upon themselves to kill Jadeite, and thus Takeuchi needed to kill him off in the manga for consistency. Once the precedent was set, the other 3 were all but guaranteed to die. And then she never got around to bringing Endymion's generals back into the story. This lead to speculation from fans (ex: if the generals were revived along with everyone else), and a desire from the fanbase to see the romances be implemented (along with "fixing" other things the 90s anime changed), so it became remarkably common for spin-off material to include it.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention that Minako’s English voice actor voiced Makoto in Persona 5. I’ve always loved that. Girl has the name of Sailor Jupiter and the voices of Sailors Venus and Mars.

TBH I felt that the whole "keeping the four generals alive" thing was unecessary and poorly executed. It seemed like an excuse to ship the four inners when it added nothing to their characters. When they were inevitably killed off, I just found it more goofy than sad. Zoisite and Kunzite had a more convincing relationship than whatever Crystal tried imo.

That aside, I really appreciated this video going over the differences, and I'm happy you gave each voice actor a spotlight!

This was amazing love seeing the comparison’s to Crystal Season 1 episode’s to the manga I also think the early animation’s were not that bad not the best but they were pretty good but the CGI Transformation’s they were alright I can’t wait when you cover Season 2 and 3 specially season 3 it’s one of my favorites I look forward :D👍

I love your review, it's really easy to follow and it covers pretty much everything of the Crystal series although the voice actors part break the immersive of the narration, I don't need to know this specific person VAing this specific sub is also a VA of a random character in a random anime lol. It would be better if those parts can be seperated like at the end

USagi's english VA is also known for Kyrie in the Capcom Video Game series, Devil May Cry. Mamoru's English VA is known for his role as Prompto in Square Enix's Final Fantasy XV. Nephrite's English VA also voices Caius Ballad from Final Fantasy XIII-2/Lightning's Return. :)

the story and the art style were fantastic even though it had pacing issues however the 3D animation for transformation to me wasn't a smart idea, but I like they tried to experiment that I'll give them props for trying

Honestly, I like how the senshi killed the Kings in the manga, it showcased their power much more, and keeping them alive didn't add anything to the plot, they just died anyways lol. But I did like the short fight they had with the senshi at least.
