honestly i think the pink tint looks nice and fits with sailor moon, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't also preserve the intended visuals as well. both have their place i feel

As someone that watched the show in the 90's I can say that the series were as the "original" looks and all the merch I got back then as well. The pink thing is a trend now days to make stuff look "vintage" and cute.

I get why people like the pink hues, it does create a certain vibe to the animation, however no shame on people trying to restore it! Both is good.

I had a *lot* of Sailor Moon VHS tapes growing up and I can confirm that they had no pink hues

When you got the Pantone colors, you know what the character designers had in mind. The warm pink tint is clearly media degradation

I believe that the pink adds that hint of nostalgia. Almost like laying sepia tone over our memories (or at least for me) so rewatching it adds that depth of emotion and nostalgia that we look for? Maybe?

I think they're used to seeing the pink hues because of the Sailor Moon edits used online for songs like the "Plastic Love" song you're using on this video. I guess it adds to the "vibe" they think of when they think Sailor Moon.

The pink almost feels too nostalgic since it has an aged look, it makes me feel a bit melancholy. I actually prefer the white since it shows that it was actually pretty modern looking, sorta like how were used to black and white photos for the olden times but forget that everything was just as colourful.

the pink is very warm and fuzzy feeling but I actually don't remember it that way - lo and behold, I has VHS and DVD releases back in the day. it's still interesting to see the discourse
