We are all spoiled to be living in 2024 and to survive 2020. I reflect on how much has changed. Marcus Aurelius was an amazing human, and I think Ryan is as close as we are gonna get when it comes to who Marcus was. I think about death more than I do about living. I even broke down the other day walking on a trail with no one around. Just listening to the birds and seeing deer and rabbits. As well as coming across a Cayoty. It's amazing how much humans get caught up in money-making and buying things we don't really need. Being out in nature is humbling. So happy stoicism has made me look at life differently now. The Romans knew more than we ever do. When it comes to relationships and psychological issues.

I think about this all the time so I live in the moment, but this is only one journey the next one’s better

"life is short" but "life isn't short, we just waste a lot of it"

we need to decide which one is true, or come up with a compromise. Or else stoicism is being blatantly contradictory

Trying to adapt a fatalist and debilitating view of life from 2000 years ago to today's time.... 3ff off.
