Solution 1 worked! I tried it twice - first time "helped", second time cleared it up (waited 15 minutes instead of 5). Thanks for your idea!!! I worried I'd have to spring for a new TV. (In the old, old days, flickering meant the picture tube was going and had to be replaced, I think.)

Thank you for your help my flickering was caused by the Amazon Fire TV hookup I took the HDMI out pushed it back in and then tighten all of the connections and the flickering has disappeared

To anyone searching for a solution, mine was using an adaptor for some reason. I removed it and plugged it directly to the outlet. The culprit is likely the current, not the TV itself.

I just got mine and it flicks a dark line on the right side when playing COD 3 when I move the camera side to side. Is that normal?

Solution 1 and 2 have not worked for me. I want to try 3 and 4, but when I press the home button on the remote, nothing happens on screen. The TV light blinks when I press the button, so I know the remote is working. But the menu does not appear. Any suggestions?

Hi would you know why my older Bravia KDL-40V3000 LCD TV would start flickering after around 2-3 hours of being on?! It's very strange The first couple of hours it's totally fine, then just randomly the screen starts flickering slowly once a few minutes then it gets worse and often, then the screen goes all green for a few seconds!! But for the first 2-3 hours it's totally fine, never flickers!!

Could be whats called ‘a dry joint’ basically tye solder has cracked and is no longer in constant contact with the electrical item so you take out the faulty board and put the cooker ( no i’m not kidding ) on maybe 200 degrees and place the board in the hot oven and let the solder re join as it melts, 20 mins is abkut right works 60% of the time also check for the 2 large capacitors BEWARE THEY CAN KILL YOU MAKE SURE YOU SHORT THE 2 wires that come out of the capacitors you will see a spark this has just dishcharged any deadly current left in the capacitors MAKE SURE YOU USE AN INSULATED SCREWDRIVER TO TOUCH AND DISCHARGE THE CAPS, no joke they can kill you so be safe, swollen capacitors are a tell tale sign that its the capacitors easy fix if ya know a little about electrical devices dont risk you or any children getting a shock they can be fatal, please take care.
