Very good job with the tutorial and starting with four strands. I tried starting with 12 and what a mess! I went back to four and that helped me a bunch to learn it. I’ve learned a lot from you! I'd like to know if you can use that knot for a lanyard.
Curious to see how the lanyard would be, and then having the four strands at the end sticking out.

How would you tackle three strands into a Matthew Walker knot? It ends up being six strands thick so the pattern is slightly less than the 8 strands on the double knot you did later for the dog leash, but much more complex than the 4 stranded one which seems like it's just a single tied onto an overhand?
