Bought one of these a year ago and liked it so much that I bought another one. Never felt the need to wobble the turrets, never noticed they wobble and have zero interest in finding out if they do or not. IMO these scopes are better than many at double the cost. My only (minor) complaint would be the elasticated lens covers - I replaced these with Hawke’s ‘professional’ flip up versions which are comparatively expensive.

I've seen many reviewed of firearms and firearm accessories by channels with 100's of thousands of subscribers. Yours has been the best to date

Hawke make a decent scope, the finish is very good and if anything does go wrong their after sales service is outstanding in the UK.

Have had the exact same scope for 6 months now and blown away buy how good it is for the price. Had a Hawke fast mount 4-16x50 scope for years and decided to upgrade, now shooting targets at nearly 200yards with a 12ftlb air rifle.

Love Hawke and I own 4 side winder’s never knew it was American owned company Bonus no quibble guarantee topped with amazing glass in for the price range but everyone’s eye are unique and glass is very subjective

Thanks for the great and honest review. I have some older model Hawke Sidewinders and none of them looked this bad even at their highest magnification. Their glass was okay just decent but not great like Athlon's Midas line and above.

Well Moondog i have the sidewinder 8-32 second focal plane mounted on my Daystate 47ft/lb Regal and i am as happy as a pig in shit with it. Great review though.

Should also have said, lens clarity is much better than that shown in your video and I’ve never noticed colour aberration.

I use this scope on my Tikka T3x Tactical A1 and i love it! In Germany this scope is well known. Many Friends are using this scope.

Best value for money scope imho. I have a top of the range Swarovski X5 and this Hawke scope, which was a fraction of the price. The Swarovski is obviously superior in low light but probably not £2000 better.

Nice video, very informative! I would have liked to see what happens at the extreme elevations when you have considerable windage dialed in. Some scopes dont reach max elevation in this case but keep clicking as is reported for the Vortex Venom. Also, how bad do you think is the color-fringing? Is it exaggerated by the video? It looks pretty awful, how distracting is it on the range? And what happened with respect to the wobbly dials? Was it remedied by Hawke? You didn't give your final opinion which would be interesting nevertheless: Did you like it?

Are you going to compare the Hawke frontier at some point. I know in the feature video you spoke about comparing it to similar powered scopes from Leupold and Vortex

It looks like an okay scope but is there a ton of cloudiness around the outer ring of the window? or is that just parallax or an issue from being zoomed in so high while close to the target? just curious. it didn't look that cloudy when you were outside.

I want to get a Hawke sidewinder 30 for my Western Airguns Sidewinder 30. But after this, sadly, it's not going to happen

The price of this scope still means its a lower end scope. I have 4 sidewinder scopes never had a problem. Leopold scopes are twice the price minimum so really no comparison.

I've always liked Hawke's reticles. Although from experience the Sidewinders can exhibit quite a lot of chromatic aberration - almost (but not quite) as bad as NightForce...

I have the SFP version and think it’s amazing.
I have to be honest, I don’t get the milkiness anything like that you show here.

Does it really matter if a scope doesn’t say it’s rated for big bore pcp?
