For many years now i have considered this to be THE funniest short story ever written in the English language - or indeed any language.
I've read it many times and always been helpless with laughter at the railway station/carriage scenes. This is the first time ive ever listened to it being read aloud and I'm delighted to report it was as funny, risible, comedic, mirth-inducing and hilarious as ever.
